Coffee is rich in caffeine, which boosts psychoactive functions. Caffeine is the major reason for most people to drink coffee. On an average, a mug of coffee comprises 50 – 400 mg of caffeine. Researchers suggest that per day 400 mg of caffeine is equal to four cups of coffee (945 ml of coffee) which is safe and also beneficial to adults. But often people tend to exceed the limit most of the time, without any health complaints. But one should keep in mind that caffeine is present in other beverages too that we drink, like energy drinks and tea.
