  • In a different vessel, take 1½ cups of jaggery and put them in on a flame along with 2 tbsp of water.
  • Keep stirring the thick liquid until all the jaggery melts down completely.
  • Boil the syrup for around 5 minutes until it turns glossy and thickens.
  • You can check the consistency by dropping the syrup in a bowl of water and checking whether it forms a hard ball. If not, continue boiling for a few more minutes.
  • Now, turn off the flame and add the previously roasted peanuts to the syrup.
  • Mix everything well so the jaggery coats the peanuts completely.
  • As soon as everything is mixed, pour the mix over a tray lined with butter paper.
  • Spread the mix evenly on the paper and pat if required.
  • Allow the mix to cool for a few minutes and cut the slab into smaller pieces.
  • Serve the peanut chikki when cooled completely.
