Making A Healthy Meal: Rasam Recipe With Dal

 

  1. At the first step, you will want to start by preparing the spice mix. To do so, collect 1 tsp coriander seeds, 1 tsp cumin seeds, ¾ tsp peppercorns, ¼ tsp fenugreek seeds, 2 dried red chillies and curry leaves on a plate. Add them to a vessel and roast over low flame.

  8. Mix the ingredients really well and allow them to boil together by covering a lid over the vessel.
  9. After 10 minutes, add 2 cups of toor dal to the mixture and a cup of water. You may adjust the quantity of water to manage the resulting consistency of the rasam recipe with dal.
  10. Allow the resulting mixture to boil for a minute or two so that the rasam recipe with dal turns frothy in consistency.
  11. Once complete, remove the rasam from the vessel and add to a presenting dish. Top it off with some coriander and dried red chilli and serve fresh with steaming hot rice.
