Ingredients:

  • 25-30 Tulsi leaves
  • 2 cups of water
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 ginger (about 2 inches long)
  • 9-10 black peppercorns
  • 5-6 organic cloves
  • 1/2 tsp organic turmeric powder
  • Organic sugar or jaggery to taste

How to prepare:

Crush ginger, tulsi leaves, cinnamon sticks, black peppercorns and cloves together. Add it to a pot. Then add water, sugar or jaggery and turmeric powder. Bring it to a boil and don’t turn off the heat until the quantity gets halved. Strain and drink it hot. It is one of the best recipes to consume a kadha for immunity.

 

2. Tasty Turmeric Kadha

Ingredients:

4 cups of water

1/2 cup mint leaves

1-inch grated ginger

5 black peppercorns

3-4 organic cloves

1/4 tsp ajwain seeds

2 tsp organic honey

2 tsp lemon juice

1 raw turmeric (2 inches long)

How to prepare:

This kadha drink is made by adding cinnamon, peppercorns, cloves and ajwain seeds to 2 cups of water in a pan. Turn the heat on and start boiling the mixture. When you see the first few bubbles, add the ginger and crushed raw turmeric. Once the quantity of the water is reduced to half, turn off the heat and add the mint leaves, lemon juice and honey. Let it simmer for 5 minutes, then strain it and drink.

 

3. Simply Strong Kadha

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups of water
  • 1 tsp organic turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp organic honey
  • 2 tsp lemon juice

How to prepare:

Ideal to be drunk on an empty stomach in the morning, this kadha for immunity is really simple to make. Boil water in a pot. Once you see the first few bubbles, add the turmeric powder. Keep boiling until it is reduced to half. Take the pot off the heat, add honey and lemon. Drink it warm.

 

4. Munakka Magic Kadha

Ingredients:

  • 7-8 tulsi leaves
  • 1 tsp organic turmeric powder
  • 5-6 organic munakkas (raisins)
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 5-6 black peppercorns
  • 1 dry ginger (2 inches long)
  • 3 cups of water

How to prepare:

Using a mortar and pestle, crush Tulsi leaves, raisins, cumin seeds, cinnamon stick, peppercorns and ginger. Add the mixture to water and boil for 10-15 minutes. Using a strainer, pour the liquid in a cup and drink while it is hot.

 

5. Immunity Superhero Kadha

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups of water
  • 2-3 green whole cardamoms
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • Dry ginger
  • 3-4 white peppercorns

How to prepare:

Crush the ginger and add it to boiling water with all the ingredients.  Boil for about 15 minutes and then turn off the heat. Strain and drink it every day to boost immunity. You can add a natural sweetener if the taste is too strong for you.
