Flax seeds, being the richest source of Omega-3- fatty acids, provide cardiovascular benefits like increasing the good cholesterol (HDL) in the blood and prevent excessive inflammation that causes joint pains. Flax seeds contain high levels of dietary fibre, abundance of micro nutrients and rich in poly phenolic antioxidants. Mix ground or crushed flax seeds in buttermilk / water and consume. Alternatively, add crushed flax seeds to your everyday recipes for taste and health. Sprinkle crushed flax seeds on your dosa, idlis, add them to your parattas and curries. Start with 1 tsp a day. Slowly go up to 2 tbsp (1/4 cup)
